Legalisation describes the process whereby the signature, seal or stamp on an original public document is verified by a series of public officials along a ‘chain of authentication’ or ‘authentication chain’

We can only legalise original Australian public documents. There are two types of public documents:
• Documents issued directly by an Australian government agency or official (Federal, state or territory).
• Documents that have been notarised or certified by an Australian notary public.

Please allow two standard business working days for collection of an authentication and an apostille.

Cost: 175 QR per document

What to bring:
- Written instructions from one of the following: Australian legal practitioner, law practiced licensed conveyance, mortgagee (eg. your bank)
- Proof of Identity (Passport)
- Correctly prepared forms

We can only perform this service where written instructions from the Australian Legal Practitioner are presented. If written instructions are not presented the service will be declined.

We cannot complete Verification of Identity of Witness Certificates from your bank or state regulatory body. The Consulate can instead provide certified or a DFAT Identity Certificate to be performed at the same time as the witnessing and certifying functions of a land or property transaction.
