Adult Passport Renewal - PC7

Choose this option for passport applications for adults renewing passport using a PC7 form. NOT for child passport application.

NOTE: If you have more than one passport application to lodge, please exit from this service and select 'Group Booking - 2 passport applications' or 'Group Booking (3)' option.

If you have filled all your visa pages of your current passport and the validity has more than two years remaining, you can get a Replacement Passport (34 pages) for a lesser fee.

First Adult Passport Application/Lost or Stolen - PC8

Child Passport Application for 16 and 17 year old

Choose this option for individual applications between 16 and 17 year old.

16 and 17 year old children are required to attend the appointment along with a guardian.

Apostilles and Authentications

This service is for having documents issued with an Apostille or an Authentication certificate (legalisation).

Legalisation describes the process whereby the signature, seal or stamp on an original public document is verified by a series of public officials along a ‘chain of authentication’ or ‘authentication chain’

We can only legalise original Australian public documents. There are two types of public documents:
• Documents issued directly by an Australian government agency or official (Federal, state or territory).
• Documents that have been notarised or certified by an Australian notary public.

Please allow two standard business working days for collection of an authentication and an apostille.

This service is for the witnessing of signatures on a Notice of Intended Marriage form or a Certificate of no-Impediment to Marriage form by a Consular Officer.

What to bring:
- Valid Identification (passport)
- Completed but UNSIGNED Notice of Intended Marriage form (available from our website); or
- Completed but UNSIGNED No-Impediment to Marriage form (available from www.smartraveller.gov.au).

Consular Officers at the Consulate cannot provide advice on the requirements of your particular document.

Affidavits, Oaths or Affirmations

This service is for witnessing signatures on Driver's Licence Renewal.

The Australian High Commission does not renew driver's licences.

You will need to contact the relevant State Government Licence issuing Authority in Australia to obtain the necessary forms to renew your licence while residing overseas, which may need to be witnessed by a Consular Officer.

- Your completed UNSIGNED renewal form
- Photo (if required)
- Proof of identity (Passport)

What to bring:
- Your completed UNSIGNED declaration

What we cannot do:
- Witness foreign documents
- Witness declarations to be used outside of Australia
- Witness declarations that are not in the correct format
- Provide advice on the requirements of your document.

This service is for the witnessing of Australian State/Territory Statutory Declarations.

Cost: 192 QR per document

What to bring:
- Your completed UNSIGNED declaration
- Proof of Identity (Passport)

What we cannot do:
- Witness foreign documents
- Witness declarations to be used outside of Australia
- Witness declarations that are not in the correct format
- Provide advice on the requirements of your document.

NSW/VIC/SA/TAS/ACT/NT - Property/Mortgage Documents

This service is for Officers to witness signatures on land transfer or mortgage documents.

Cost: 175 QR per document

What to bring:
- Written instructions from one of the following: Australian legal practitioner, law practiced licensed conveyance, mortgagee (eg. your bank)
- Proof of Identity (Passport)
- Correctly prepared forms

We can only perform this service where written instructions from the Australian Legal Practitioner are presented. If written instructions are not presented the service will be declined.

We cannot complete Verification of Identity of Witness Certificates from your bank or state regulatory body. The Consulate can instead provide certified or a DFAT Identity Certificate to be performed at the same time as the witnessing and certifying functions of a land or property transaction.

QLD/WA - Property/Mortgage Documents
